1) Response of the sympathetic nervous system when someone is frightened or anxious
2) smoking can cause increase in BP
3) exercising
4) There are many drugs (prescription, OTC, or social drugs) that can cause an increase in both of these. Amphetamines such as Adderall is an example (I know it increases heart rate)
